Sloan's Lake bar service is open air, self contained bar service. We bring the bar, bartenders, mixers, garnish, ice, and glassware with our own power, work to the Denver Parks permit that governs park land, and build against sustained wind coming off the water.
The wind off the lake is the first thing we plan for, not the last. It is sustained rather than gusty, and it will take a garnish tray off a bar top and a stack of napkins with it. Everything on the working surface either has weight on it or a lid.
The second fact is power. Most positions on park land have none, so the bar arrives with its own, along with its own water for service and rinse and its own waste plan. Nothing about the build assumes an outlet.
The third is the permit. Lakefront park land is Denver Parks land, and the permit sets vehicle access, placement, and hours. We build the plan to the permit rather than asking the permit to accommodate the plan.
Sun exposure completes the picture. There is no shade at most positions along the water, which raises the ice budget and moves the zero proof side of the menu from a courtesy to something guests actually reach for through an afternoon.
